| The story on the Windshield Washer pump - Well, over time
repeatedly it seems that many mechanics find that this is either not
important to reconnect, worry about, or some will just YANK the damn thing
out of the way when working under the hood dealing with the battery etc..
SOOOOOOOO what da hell am I gonna do about it? Certainly I'll have to fix
it myself and hopefully do it in a way that it won't get broke again.
It just so happens that the neon piping that I originally back my SEX
BLACK LIGHT HAY DAY I'd bought to line up on my ceiling fits perfectly
well and snug inside the factory piping still attached to the hood. The
Washer pump nozzle that extends out to meet the piping was at some point
broken off by the same mechanic that busted my engine (threw off the
timing). SOooo whats a guy to do? I just placed that neon
PIPING/TUBING/HOSE (whatever the hell you wanna call it) against where the
nozzle should be, propped it, and lined the outside all over the edges of
where it met with glue (SURELY THE NOOB DRIES THIS AREA OFF FIRST FROM ANY
EXCESS WATER JUG WATER/FLUID ETC.. ETC.. ETCC.....). After I let it harden
for a while and had it taped up so it wouldn't move I put it back in the
car. That was the 1st time a long time ago. Apparently I didn't do it well
enough because another mechanic or body shop person yanked it again when
under the hood and its always MONTHS later that you notice this shit. So
this time around while I'm doing the fuel filter and IAC I decide to make
things a little more secure. At Wal-MART I bought a little
container of pasty black PASTE (can ya imagine?) that forms a hard yet
flexible rubber once it cures. This works out perfect and this time I
electrical taped and rubberized the hoses to the jug itself in the hose
groove shown in the pic. SURE, I COULD'VE WENT OUT AND BOUGHT NEW HOSES
AND A NEW WASHER PUMP, BUT THAT WOULD'VE BEEN TOO EASY AND COST ME MORE
$$$$ FOR SOMETHING PETTY. The pump works fine and the hoses worked fine so
GO WITH IT !
